A blended grout will provide a soft transition between tile and grout that will work well in all design aesthetics from modern to traditional. Contrasting grouts will commonly be used when accentuating a pattern. A black and white basket weave benefits from a darker gray grout. This creates the illusion of shadow between the basket weaves and a three dimensional effect.

While we all see color differently there are still common responses that we have to color. Fact One: The human eye is drawn to lighter values (how light or dark a color is). Fact Two: The human eye is drawn to brighter or more saturated colors. Fact Three: The human eye is also drawn to warmer colors in the hue range of yellow/green to red.
Â
Unless you want the grout to dominate the tile go with a grout color that resides in the tile. This grout, however, should be a shade darker than the tile and should be at least slightly grayed out. By doing this, we end up with a blended grout selection that does not draw attention to itself. When going for a contrasting color I still favor a darker color for the same reasons.

What a great idea!- client Niki and Paul Janesco used glass tile creatively. designing this unique masterbath by choosing  a soft color palette and glass pebble tiles for the countertop (a great alternative to a slab).
The tub and floor, made of Damasco Verde tile feels like you walked into a beautiful grotto- Â
Best of all this bathroom uses affordable tile- and they did it themselves!Â

The kitchen is often referred to as the “heart of the home.? In many cases, the kitchen is the most used room in the home. Tiling your back splash may be the finishing touch to a new or remodeled kitchen, or even bring new life to a dated kitchen.
Â
A tile back splash not only protects your walls from water, grease, and grime, but it also can add that individual touch every home needs!
Â
Below are my 3 most valued tips I can share with you for tiling your kitchen back splash:
Â
1 – When coming in to tile your back splash, bring in any samples or photos you may have of the room. Incorporate colors and themes seen in other areas of your kitchen. Is your cabinetry contemporary? Don’t be afraid to use a large format tile to add to the look!
Â
Â

Â
Â
2 – Don’t be afraid to be bold! Play with colors, styles, textures and patterns when designing your back splash.
Â
Â

Â
3 – Borders are a great way to add an accent your back splash. When laying out the design for your project, be sure to run a border where it won't be interrupted by all of the electrical outlets!  Â

 The possibilities are endless!

I recently worked on a condo project. The interior design was very industrial and contemporary which was fitting because they were built in an existing warehouse.
Using a smaller sized tile in a mosaic, we were able to add accent to an otherwise very plain design in the bathrooms. Using material in this size and color is a nice way to add a little character to any space you want to keep simple and neutral. Â

My name is Janet Warren and back in May of this year my husband, Joe, and I visited your showroom to get some ideas of how we would like our kitchen floor to look. Little did we know we'd meet Cheryl who listened to what our needs were and 'toured' us around describing the various styles you offer. She even put samples down on the floor so we could see up close and personal how it might play out on our floor. Best of all she gave us a list of installers who use Best Tile so that we could talk to them about the work and costs. We are more than happy with our new kitchen floor and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend [our installer] to anyone who might be considering tile work in their homes. The same holds true for Best Tile.
