Capricorn:
Time for the Cappy's to shine! I have put together this "Capricorn" pallette for those who find themselves to be traditional, symmetrical, clean, and orderly. I wanted this pallette to feel classic and timeless, with an updated twist. The historic beveled subway tile is even more enhanced, boasting a raised frame in a light, yet warm taupe to contrast against the darker oil-rubbed bronze hardware and fixtures, as well as the merlot stain on the walnut cabinetry. These darker tones are also offset by a marblesque quartz top, which brings the classic Crema Marfil marble feel to this space. This kitchen is rounded out by an updated, polished, large format tile floor, coming in at a 30x30 size. This will provide a balance between the light, creamy countertops and dark, brooding cabinetry. The use of manmade materials and minimal grout on the floor will allow you neat and tidy Capricorn's the peace of mind of having a low maintenance kitchen, all while keeping with a traditional and elegant feel. I like to add pops of garnet via the paint or decor to enhance the true emulation of the Capricorn sign. The way these classic pieces can be spiced up with some modern touches, allows these wise, forward-thinking, hard workers to have a space they can truly feel at home in.
